Over the years, The Jam Jar’s informal music and arts space nurtured Bristol’s grassroots arts scene, drawing a vibrant community of creatives.Recognizing the need for long-term sustainability, the team embarked on securing a premises license. A successful crowdfunding campaign in 2017, backed by hundreds of supporters, bolstered their efforts and garnered accolades from local and international creatives. The license was granted in 2019.
Under Ruben’s guidance, The Jam Jar thrives as a platform for musical and artistic development. It hosts artists from around the world, offering a diverse program known for its high-quality sound. With up to 22,000 visitors and 500 performers annually, The Jam Jar remains an essential cultural destination in Bristol.
