Günsu Yeşilyaprak, after holding various positions within the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts’ festivals and biennials, found her niche at the Istanbul Jazz Festival, where she has been employed since 2017.
Established in 1994 by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), the Istanbul Jazz Festival is a globally renowned annual musical event held in the captivating city of Istanbul, Turkey. With a rich history and a consistent track record of introducing diverse jazz styles to enthusiastic audiences, this festival has secured a lasting legacy.
Günsu serves as an Event and Operations Coordinator at the Istanbul Jazz Festival and acts as a promoter representative. In this capacity, she manages the festival’s international partnerships and collaborations with cultural institutions. Additionally, she oversees the festival’s prestigious showcase event, ‘Vitrin,’ dedicated to Contemporary Music from Turkey. Over the years, this showcase has hosted music professionals from acclaimed institutions such as the London Jazz Festival, Womex, SXSW, Jazzfest Berlin, Down Beat, The Great Escape Festival, Boiler Room, Glitterbeats Records, Le Guess Who, and The Guardian, to name just a few.
